We are providing these cards free of charge to all Deaf BSL users so please just get in touch if you would like one. If you are an agency working with Deaf BSL users and would be interested in holding a supply of cards to give to your service users please email admin@wdda.co.uk.

Significance is our award winning Sign Choir. The Choir meets at the Victoria Education Centre in Poole on Thursdays at 7pm. Open to all. We also have a Junior Sign Choir (ages 5-15) led by Louise that meets at Bournemouth Deaf Club on Saturday afternoons at 2pm.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our ‘Sign for Change’ Family Fun Day on Sunday 23 June 2019. The weather was kind to us and it was great to bring hearing and Deaf children and families together to introduce BSL to the wider community. We raised £184.11 on the day, had people sign up to learn BSL with us and generated lots of interest in our sign choirs. A special thank you to Trustees George, Keith and Donna, volunteers Jas, Angela, Sandra and Louise and to Significance Sign Choir and our Junior Sign Choir for all their hard work in making the day such a great success. We’ll be setting a date for next year’s event very soon!

We are looking to raise £5,000 to help fund our work supporting the development of a small team of Deaf and hearing BSL users to enable them to deliver Deaf Awareness & Communication training to local Nursery and Primary Schools in Dorset. “The sessions are amazing. I like learning how to sign to my friends.” – Year 3 Pupil. “I find the Sign Language lessons very fun and it means I can talk to someone who is deaf. Wiltshire and Dorset Deaf Association is pleased to announce the launch of our new 'Make it Clear!' Campaign on 1st July 2020.
