Unit K101 – Deaf & Deaf Blind Awareness

Objectives

The course is designed to give you knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by Deaf and Deaf Blind people in accessing services and information.

You will learn of the technical and human aids to communication that are available.

In addition, you will develop skills that will enable effective communication with all deaf people, using their own preferred language.

The course content compliments that of Unit T101 Deaf and Deaf Blind Communication Tactics.  Successful completion of both units will achieve the DAC01 award in Deaf Awareness and Communication Level 1.

Our next K101 Deaf & Deaf Blind Awareness course will run over two consecutive Saturdays on Saturday 22nd (10am-4pm) and Saturday 29th May 2021 (10am-2:30pm) Covid secure setting at Bournemouth Deaf Club.

Course cost: £115.
